Emma Cripps

Personal trainer/classes

Hello my name is Emma and I am 22 years old.

I studied early years and childhood studies in UCC with the intention of going onto become a primary school teacher. Throughout the course I learned about the importance of exercise during a child’s life and the extreme effects of childhood obesity. I felt quite passionately about this area. After receiving my personal training qualification, I would love to link it with my early years degree and become involved in the youth side of the health and fitness industry.

From a young age I was playing many sports. I am currently the captain of the UCC hockey first team where we compete at both Munster and national levels. I played hockey in Mount Mercy College where we won many Munster Cups including my last year in school where I captained the team to winning the senior cup. I was selected to represent Munster at u16, u18 and u23 levels. I also coach three of the hockey teams in Mount Mercy at the moment and this is my fourth year coaching.

I have a great passion for health and fitness and want to help new and existing members to achieve their goals in a sustainable and balanced way. I’m very excited to be part of a team that helps people create a healthy lifestyle in a positive and fun environment.
