CRAIg – personal trainer
We are absolutely delighted to have Craig join the F.1.T Ballincollig Team. Craig has an extremely interesting sporting background including representing Ireland in swimming. He has worked as part of teams and on his own throughout his sporting journey. We are really excited to continue to see Craig bring his wealth of sporting experience to F.1.T and to share this with his clients. Here is what Craig had to say about joining the F.1.T Team in June 2021.
I am excited to say I’ll be a personal trainer here at F.1.T and I am really looking forward to meeting new & current clients. I have just completed my final year degree of Sport Exercise and Management in CIT.
My sporting background revolves largely around Swimming and Hurling. I am a competitive swimmer for Sunday’s Well Swim Club. I have represented myself and my club at national levels. I also play hurling for Inniscarra GAA club.
Having sustained a horrific knee injury in 2017, which sidelined me for 15 months, I learned how important the gym and training is for the body and the mind. Without it, I would have lost the plot entirely (some people would say I did anyway).
After experiencing my own injury journey, I now have a great interest in how the body works and how we can improve the way we move and also the prevention & rehabilitation of injuries. With my background in Sport and Exercise and passion for working with people, joining the F.1.T team felt like the perfect match. I am delighted to say that I’ll be taking on new personal training clients for the summer.
