ALAN – Personal trainer
Alan is a massive asset to the F.1.T Grange Team! His infectious energy, positivity and passion for helping others is undeniable. Alan started in F.1.T as a work experience student and is now a full time trainer who is continuously making his stamp in F.1.T. We were so thrilled with Alan from the start, we knew him joining the team full time was always going to be the perfect match! Alan has a great sporting background and has had many successes, however, he has also sustained injuries which have helped him understand the body more and what it needs. Here is what Alan had to say about joining the Team.
Hi, my name is Alan!
Some people may recognise me from behind the desk in Grange. I have recently completed college and am now a full time trainer here at F1T Grange.
I have studied in Colaiste Stiofain Naofa (GAA Coaching), CIT (Recreation and Leisure Management) and MTU (Sport and Exercise Managment).
My fitness journey started at a young age. I began playing Hurling and Football for my primary school. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to join St. Finbarrs Hurling and Football club and haven’t looked back since.
Over the years I have won many County and League titles with St. Finbarrs. I also got the opportunity to represent my county at minor and u20 level. I’m excited to use the knowledge, skills and experience I have gained, both on the pitch and off, to help our clients get the most out of the gym.
Throughout the years I have had my fair share of injuries. These injuries have given me a greater understanding of how the body works and the challenges that may be experienced during rehabilitation.
My aim, as a trainer, is to make clients feel comfortable and confident in the gym and help them succeed in reaching their goals. I am delighted to say that I’ll be taking on new personal training clients and will also be taking Individual Zone Training sessions.
Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or queries I promise I’m a nice guy!
